Cannondale Moto Carbon Ultimate Pro

If you are an all mountain bike rider who is looking for a lightweight but sturdy bike, you don’t have to look any further than the Cannondale Moto Carbon Ultimate Ltd. This is an all carbon fiber bike that has been designed for steep and rough terrain while offering a smooth ride.

The Hatchet Drive on the Moto is a single-pivot swingarm and is able to drive the shock through a layout of carbon linkages. If you look closely, you’ll find that the bottom of the shock is mounted to the swingarm, which adds more freedom while tackling curves.

We’ve all heard that big is good when it comes to the head tube on the front. The one on the Cannondale Moto is 66.6mm in diameter, which lends itself to be called the “Diablo.” The front of the bike is quite hefty, but this is to ensure stiffness. Although the Moto Carbon Ultimate is priced highest in the Moto range, it delivers the performance that an all mountain rider would need. The oversized carbon frame gives quite a first impression.

The Bike also features asymmetrical chainstays and pivots. While some people consider the swingarm to be too flexy in the rear, others find that the flex is small or largely unnoticeable.

The Moto Ultimate Ltd. has a suspension system that stiffens up with more power. Despite the comparably low sag amount, the Moto is stiff and the suspension performs well. Knowing that the bike weighs 32.66 lb (14.81kg) might throw you off at first, but once you get on and start moving fast, you will feel your confidence and handling capabilities increase. The Moto is made for a rider who has enough skills up his sleeve and is confident enough to take it down the hill.
